Wrong Again

We all awake at some point in the day, morning or for some, afternoon or evening. Many turn on the weather to see what the meteorologist say the weather will be like. Not me, I do not trust them anymore, and have not for at least four years. Why not? Simple, they are wrong. How wrong? Here is one of thousands of examples. At 10:14 am on the day of this post, I captured a screenshot of the Dallas/Fort Worth forecast for the day.

Just arriving back from the store, I knew this was wrong as usual. What does it actually look like outside? Here it is at 10:15am. There is an airplane up there on final to a runway that is around three miles away, but I can not see it because of the overcast and RAIN. This is what I like to call a fail.

Carrie says I am should not be so hard on the weather men/women, but this forecast is a repeat of the past three weeks and still not even close to what they say it will be. All five of the major news stations in the DFW Metroplex can not even guess close. They all claim to be the most accurate, but I don’t believe it.

Hurricane Ike Approaches

Hurricane Ike approaches the Texas coastline and most people evacuated. My brother, out of the thrill for it, did not leave. Forecasters and meteorologist say this is one mean storm, as in strength and size. Is is really a smart move to stick around and hangout in a mansion, as he called it. I do not know. I do not believe so. I would need a better reason to stay than just saying “I wanted to see what it is like.”

The National Weather Service said “certain death” who choose to not evacuate. This is a scary thing. Somewhere around 90,000 140,000 people have not evacuated. Pray for them, for their safety, for the lives.
